Forsyth County was created December 3, 1832 from Cherokee County; the county seat is Cumming, Georgia. Forsyth County will records are extant from 1833. The General index to Forsyth County estates only begins in 1969 and the indexes in the original individual books are, as usual, incomplete and faulty This is an index to all 703 wills recorded in Forsyth County record books from 1833 to 1973 as follows:
